What are your hp/et goals? A buddy of mine is running low 11s on pump gas and alchy with a stock hotair longblock in his 87 T, and the heads have never been off. I don't think you'd have too much to worry about until you're in the mid/low 10s, as long as you prep the block with the usual (billet caps and arp hardware).

as Tim mentioned i ran 11.20 in my T with a stock 85 hot air motor just bolt ons for 2 years never had a problem i raced it twice a week threw the whole summer with no problems at all. you would have no problems ruining high 10s with your hot air block just take you time tune it right to much knock will kill any motor no mater how well it built, i was running 26# of boost 93 Oct and razors allky kit
