I have just recently purchased an 87GN with 150000 mile son it, however the trans was rebuil(ownergaveme receipt) about two years ago. At first the car had horrible downshift when hot, shuttering and what not. Also, when comin to a stop, the car would stutter and sometime stall out. Is this my TCC going bad? When i switched chips, the problem went halfway away? I know the tcc is controlled by the ecm, but does thi mean its bad or not?
Also, is synthetic trans fluid recommended for use in the 2004r? I was going to use mobil 1 synthetic ATF. Will theis prevent wear in the trans like it does in the motor? or should i just be using dexronIII ATF?
