Hi All
I rebuilt my motor & put a 10 vain pump in tranny & new seals. First time out about 5
miles everthing looked grate. today after work took a 30 mile ride, took it nice and easy.
About a quarder mile from home went to half throdle smoke roled from under car. Pulled
tranny the front sea hadl came off. What could have caused this ? How much pressure is on
this seal? Please help! Should I put some type of sealer on the seal to help hold it in?

You need to modify pump itself then red loctite seal in. aluminum expands under heat faster than the steel in seal so it falls out under the slightest pressure. There is a way to enlarge reutrn oil to help this problem. Most builders modify automatically.

700-r4's had the same pump seal problem. Modify your pump
in the same way and you should be OK. Check out:
