Quick question. I currently have no carpet or console in the car so I can put my finger through the hole for the shift cable and touch the top of the trans.. Should it burn the living hell out of my finger?

HELL Now you need a temp gauge to read the temp super easy to install the pan :)

You really dont want to see more than 180-200 degrees or that was what I was told the colder the better get a good cooler and mount in front of the radiator or with a good fan on it so it dosnt get hot in traffic :)

They do get hot. The 140*-220* range is normal depending on load. It will burn your fingers. :)
