PS and Rick have been running the Tpro for a while now and im a very happy customer..
Me and Rick have exchanged tunes etc.. It does dam near everything FAST does

the only thing i don't like about it is there are some places in the chip/program you still can't tune. so your still relying on the chip burner's input on the chip.

this is from the info i have read and seen from some close friends that have them.

i'll let mike or bob handle that question... but as far as im concered there is more then enough access to adjustbale parameters to keep me busy.. and the support on the forum is excellent

My opinion is somewhat biased...... :)

But the Extender Pro series of chips is very configurable.

Additionally, you retain the Scanmaster to watch knock at all times, and the Pro's LCD and key pad so you don't need to boot up the laptop whenever you want to check or tweak something.

What parts are you lookin to tune that you cannot do with this setup?

the resoultion on the fast system i can set to be 200 rpm increments. is there a compensation table for map rate of change vs coolant temp vs AE fuel?

I'm not bashing your products at all. I just stated from what i have seen and heard from some of the people that i know that has them. i have not really had the oppertunity to tune a engine using one myself.

I did not take it as a bash, I was just interested in what you were refering to. :) You do have full control over MAP and TPS enrichment although our strategy is different from the way FAST and others do it so I could see how someone who does not understand it would think that. We do the RPM bands in 400 RPM increments, this is true but we have seen no problems caused by that or tuning issues that could not be rectified using this system. Thanks for the input it is helpfull.

Also could you explain the theory of how the two ecm's intereact with each other? Does the 148 ecm still see the signal thru the maf harness as a modified signal like what the ecm see normally when using a trans + with the extender chips. Does it still us the multiplier to over see 255 grams of air.

or is the system (transpro) converting a signal from the map to maf signal does that still look like a 255 gram/second limit?

Also when looking at the transpro readout how many things can you look at, at one time. does it have a dashboard that shows all the info from all the sensor at one given time.

I've ran the TPro since August 2005, flawlessly I might add. The Tpro calculates the airflow ( MAF signal ) by using a speed density algorithm using external sensor's readings. The AF signal is then sent to the ECM allowing you to remove the MAF. The airflow signal is right on the money perfect. On the 400 rpm increments, the TPro does a great job of interpolating the increment settings. Meaning there are no holes or gaps when going from one rpm range to another, smooth as silk. Of course this doen't even scratch the surface of what all the TPro can do. There is nothing out there that can do anywhere near what this does for the money.

The MAF limit is chip dependant to some degree. The stock ecu/chip code has a 255 limit. One concern of customers is that the unit be compatable with existing chips from other manufacturers. Because of this we take a MAP signal, RPM and air temp and do the speed density algorithm just like a FAST or BIg Stuff would do. Now we have the info but we need to feed it to the stock ECM in a way that it can understand and yet be compatable with other products. The MAF is perfect since we no londer need it. We could use another open input and feed it whatever we please (ME-R) but then we would become chip dependant and that was not part of our original design. With our Pro chip the limit is removed and the computer will see up to 768 Grs/sec. You can download the TunerPro software from our tech board and see what it can do with a laptop but all functions can be view on the front of the unit 4 at a time.

Pro, 3 bar, Innovate LC1, Pro Chip = $789.96
Fast XFI kit = $1849.99 (from 3 vendor websites)

I do not see how this is "near the Price" even $1200 for a used BtoB Fast is quite a bit more.

FAST BtoB has now been discontinued, and only available used or if a vendor still has one in stock.

BTW Why don't you send us your Trans +,will will inspect it and fix it. We ususally do not charge for repairs unless you did something really silly to it.

Mike
thanks Mike. And like I said in my second post or so, I did not mention any vendors names on here, I just stated what I felt. I will contact you if I do send it in, and I did'nt do anything to is silly, just cant figure out why it went:eek: the price of the list you put down looks good, I guess after me and my buddy install his fast xfi, and I bump into somebody with that pro set up, I can compare and see what they think. Thanks again MIke.
