Welcome back to the darkside Otto, maybe this time I can get you on video.

Ok forgive me for my ignorance as I keep seeing TSO all over the board, but what does it stand for? Turbo Shoot Out?

As others have said, turbo street outlaw, but that really doesn't tell you any more about the cars :-). This is a heads-up class run on a pro starting tree for stage II powered regals weighing about 3500 lbs and limited to a single 88 mm turbo. Started at the GS Nats a few years ago and now there is a points series and about 5 or 6 races at different tracks through the summer and fall, with a racer's top 3 finishes counting towards their points. The class record is 8.48 by Ted A. last October at Cecil Co., unless someone went quicker at the Nats this year. Dave Fiscus went 8.33 at Norwalk but the scales weren't working so I don't think it is the "official" record. While I'm typing, TSM is turbo steet modified, basically the same thing for stock block motors and 70 mm turbos, with the record in the 9.teens.

Glad to hear you are back in TSO, Otto.

Looks like a clean car.
I can't wait for you to finish it!
You and Michael can do some shake downs together.

Fiscus ran 8.45 at BG at 164.5+ in BG TSO trim, which is legal for the point series but not part of the point series race. I don't think anybody is questioning he will be the record holder in the points series and if the scales worked at Norwalk it would be a 8.3x at a insane 167+ right now. I don't consider my old record of 8.48 at Cecil to be anything more than history at this point. Dave proved to us what he is capable of. Just waiting for it to be official!!!

On a side note,
Dave runs stage 2 heads and a TA aluminum block which is a showcase for what the TA block is capable of (for 2 seasons also) and I am running their TA stock style heads also to be proven a durable piece. Hats off to TA performance for giving us products to push the performance level of these cars further and further......

Hey Otto -

Don't forget to "test" it near that neighbor with the dog that is/was such a PITA! Looks good!

They got that dog under control now. From reports on the local news station, the neighbors however are not under control realizing what series of events would follow soon they went into a rage when they realized Otto had brought home another one of those "black" cars.

Looks like some fellow TSO racers stopped by to fend off the angry neighbors but somehow Bill confused the back of my head for one of the neighbors and I see Jeff was more interested in drinking than helping out
