Which chip has more adjustability? From the instructions it looks as if the Extender Extreme does. Am I correct? With a basic translator, can I pull fuel from any rpm or load range with just the extreme chip?

In your case, you have a Gen II Translator, which provides tons of adjustment for fuel and spark when used with the Extreme G chip. With that setup, there is more user adjustability than a TT 5.7 chip by itself.

You are soft of comparing apples and oranges in this case.

With a basic Translator (or no Translator), the TT chip has more adjustability for WOT purposes (fuel +/-20%, spark +/-9 deg). The Extender has more adjustments for other things, like TCC lockup, shift light, fan control, etc, but also uses the WOT fuel control of the Translator box (+/-14%).

So it depends on what things you like to tweak.:)
