TTA fp regulator

i was lookin through ATR's catalog and noticed that they sell Bosch fp reg. for GN's and TTA's for cheap. it also says that the 237 Bosch fp reg. for the TTA is a good substitute for the 233. since the 237 is only $39 ($5 more than 233) i was thinkin about ordering the 237 for my '84 GN. opinions/remarks are welcomed. thanks guys

I'm not sure if the 237 is adjustable or not. Personally if I were to spend money on a new regulator I wouldn't get anything that wasn't adjustable. However, if it is, it would probably be a heck of a deal.

no its not adj. thing is the billet adj. reg is 110.00 while this one is only 39. and since i dont have a scan tool yet, i dont se the point in payin 100 bucks for somthin i cant benift from. ATR wrote that the 237 has 60 psi and looks exactly like the 233 which is the stock one in the GN. Just tryin to stretchhhh my performance dollar Safely.

Man, I hear you there. I'm extremely cheap. I'm sure you could find a used adjustable for a reasonable price somewhere. The other reason you should consider one is that when you purchase an aftermarket chip, most burners will burn the chip and have you set your fp to a certain level. So, if you plan on getting an aftermarket chip you will probably need this.

Is there something wrong with your regulator? I don't know of any gains from going to a 237 but could be wrong.

If you are cheap, don't buy either, and then when you have a reason for an adjustable regulator you can save $39

Bosch 237

The stock Bosch 237 in my TTA shows 45 psi, vacuum line off. I don't know what they are talking about with "60"psi.

The Thrasher and Extender chips require 45 psi line off (and a better than stock fuel pump) to work as they are designed. If you get one of those chips, you'll most likely be just fine without an adjustable fuel press regulator and use the 237.

There are several used fuel regulators in the for sale section most days....$20.
