TTA lives again

...too late for the track, but oh well. Derek, I'll need a hand making sure I got the intercooler piping all done up right, I had one hell of a time doing it all by myself. Plus I'm only using one bolt to hold the IC on... COld idle is for crtap, but I'm using your MAF - not sure if that would matter or not, maybe I got a problem with my IAC valve. Once warmed up, it runs and idles much better, so I got to keep it lit manually for about two minutes, or it flames out.

Backstory was a crapload of water got into the filter box and all my intake piping was soaked. No hydrolock, fortunately, but MAF's do NOT like water.

I was wondering when you would call.... At least you got it together for the most part. If you're unsure of the hoses/clamps than watch how much boost you make otherwise it will fly off. Ill be in to work tomorrow, kids went to the doc to get checked up today.

Yeah, I'm taking it easy for now. Sold my red GTA, so now I'll have money (some, not tons) to put into the TTA. Maybe some new silicone hose pieces...? I got a few new clamps, too, I'll toss the junkyest ones I spot.

Maybe I'll go spray some O2-safe carb cleaner into the TB to clean out the CRAP that's in there, just wiping it out with a towel didn't do much.

Did the car always idle poorly when cold? Does it have the stock chip? The TTA stock chip was notorious for poor cold idle. Just my 2 cents.

Yes, it's the stock chip (whole car is stock save for the turbo timer). No, it ran fine before all this bruhaha started. I also noticed yesterday that if I idle warm for a long time (stop lights or turbo cool-down) the idle gets a bit rougher after a bit and then the SES light illuminates. If I'm at a light, when it turns green, I drive off and the light goes out by itself after a few seconds. I could sure use a Scanmaster right now...

I'm hoping it's Derek's extra MAF.

Did you try the tap test on the MAF? If the idle chages when you tap the MAF. It's bad.
