Are the P-Trim and GTQ wheels still used today for new turbos? Confused with 65mm, 68mm, P-trim, GTQ, etc... Is there new stuff out there of just relabeling the ole P-trim and GTQ and calling it as 65 or 68?

P trim and GTQ are Garrett wheels. Most of the newer stuff uses GT based wheels. The ex wheels T netics and Precision use are the same ones manufactured by t-netics and are direct copies of the Garrett GT wheels. Same blade count and angle with slight differences in blade length. A lot of times you will hear a 65 trim called a p trim but its really not. The 76 p trim is an old design that has more back pressure than a 65 over 600hp. The 68 and 80(aka GTQ) are so close you need to measure them to distinguish the difference. The 68 has slightly longer blades. If you try to use an ex housing from a GTQ on a 68 trim its a no go. Almost anything out there that is used in the performance world uses the same design turbines as the Garrett GT turbines.
