I am looking to up grade my stocker and have been set on the Precision 6262 .63 exhaust and ported s cover and am going to contact dusty for a 2800-3000 ptc converter non L/U. A nice precision fm is next after that....

My question is with my stock longblock/heads/cam will i be able to net somewhere in the 11's comfortably with 20-25lbs of boost after my FM running a 27' tire and still have alot of streetablity (no lag)???

Thanks

You should be fine with that combination.
The only thing I would check is the valve springs.
On my black car they started to float pretty bad when I turned it up.

are you going ball bearing or journal? Cause the BB turbo will give you a little less lag being that your heads are stock.

i was leaning more towards the journal...
I know that until I get some head work done and cam the car I am not going to use this turbo anywhere to its potential but I just dont want to open up the can of worms just yet

Thats the turbo that I have and It's a beast. You will be happy with the pull. I am waiting to decide what converter to use. Then its alky after that. Already getting hot enough here where I care less about working on my car. Fishing is what I do from may to Oct. I hope to have my car done completely by next spring.

With a 9.5" PTC there will be almost no difference in spool when you floor it BB vs. journal. Ive seen this turbo go 120+mph@28psi with an unopened longlblock.

so your telling me this summer is going to be fun huh?:D

I'd buy a turbo with the smaller exhaust housing... Garret .63 or Tnetics .63

for stock heads, cam ... under 500 hp...

Work your tune to 24#'s boost without knock w/ alky and leave it alone.
