Turbo meter Pro or WinALDL

I am about try using WINALDL and Turbo Meter Pro for some basic troubleshooting. I have WINALDL but can;t seem to locate Turbo Meter Pro, is it still available ?

Any feedback on pros & cons of each would be appreciated. Also when making the serial cable for WINALDL, do I need to use the resistor across pins A & B or does it work OK without it ?
