I have a 78 GN. Had it about 3 weeks now. I did the Spring Cleaning already. It has been using oil so I did a compresion check and everything looks good. It has no leaks and it dosen't smoke. I bought new intake hoses and when I went to replace them I found oil inside the old ones. So I checked the play of the shaft and it looks good. No play at all. The car has been sitting for around 5 years or so before I bought it. He would drive it every 1 or 2 months but other then that it sat. Lucky if it got 50 miles a year on it. What I think is, it needs new seals in it. They dried out from setting? Does anyone know If there is a kit I can buy, To do it myself? It's all stock and I don't really want to go to a bigger turbo. I don't want to have to change all the injectors out to bigger ones. Would It be better to buy a used turbo and have it sent out for a rebild? That way I can still drive the car a little. Who should I send it too? Is there anything I can have done to the stock turbo to make it more efecent without haveing to change the injectors? I don't mind putting on a adjustable fuel regulator and a new higher flow pump with the hotwire kit. Was planning on doing that anyway. The upgrades I have done so far is. I have put on a ram air kit upgraded the intake hoses ported the bell, 160 stat and bypast the water to the throtle body. I'm planning on a 2 1/5" down pipe with 3" cat to 3" pipe and a flowmaster replacement muffler.
