That would be the one, with a Molly signature on the dash. Only has 17k on it:biggrin: It is in the collection:wink:

I do have some pictures of Fred Vetter's white T-Type with the blue interior, but I don't have a scanner to scan and post them...I know someone who has one and I'll post them as soon as possible
I personnally knew Fred Vetter and I remember him telling me the story that while in Florida, he was driving past a Buick dealer ("Dixie Buick" in Ft. Myers if I remember correctly) and saw the white T-Type being unloaded from the delivery truck. He made a u-turn, went inside to ask about the car and eventually came out of the dealer as the new owner!... He then threw his return airplane tickets in the thrash and drove the car back to New Jersey.
Over the years while Fred had it, he did a few things to it, like adding some Centerline wheels, having a nice blue-painted 6pt. roll bar installed in it, as well as a blue painted Scanmaster.

Claude. :)

P.S: Shane...to which "collection" are you referring to?

Fred Vetter's '87 T-Type pictures...

Here are a few pictures of Fred Vetter's white '87 T-Type taken at Raceway Park in Englishtown, NJ...

First picture with Centerline wheels...(taken in 1998)
Second picture with Weld Wheels...
Third picture is Fred Vetter (with red shorts) and me...

Claude. :)

Pictures of Jim D'Alessandro's white GN...

Now, here are some pictures of Jim D'Alessandro's white GN at Raceway Park, Englishtown, NJ...

First picture shows Jim's GN with Jim himself working under the hood...
Second picture shows the engine compartment...
Third picture shows the interior of Jim's GN...
All these pics were taken in 1991.

Claude. :)

Damn Claude, thanks for the pics... you have been around the horn:cool:

The caption reads Joe Cieri, but it shows Bob McGinley who was real tight with Jimmy D' at the time. Bob's GN was pretty sharp at the time as he ran Ronal R-7 rims.... something you'd see on high-end european cars in the day.

Speaking of Bob McGinley, whatever happened to him? he too was featured in the "Buick Grand National" vol.1 video...

Claude.

P.S: Shane...to which "collection" are you referring to?

That collection would be MINE:biggrin: It is in the nursery garage along with the rest of the sleeping babies:biggrin: ;)

It still has the Centerline Wheels on it! Anybody want to buy them? They are fugly to me:biggrin:  I took them off briefly to put a set of telestars on it and man does it look meaner that way...

There are so many fast guys that arent around any more.. Tom Rix was one of the fastest guys around back in the late 80s, Roger Van Skoyke (sp) had the fastest nitrous powered GN for a while.. I remember seeing that car back in 88 or 89 and thinking about how trashed out it was. Im sure it's in a junkyard somewhere by now.

Scott Parrat was one of the first real innovators for these cars with his company T-Force. The TorqueMaster was a huge rip off but he had some really nice stuff.. a kick ass ram air, an auxillary injection system, etc.

S&S Racing from Minnessota with the GunSlinger car.. they were the first people I remember bringing the Bosch adjustable fuel pressure regulator over from Germany.

Pete and Ken from ANS (Pete works at Precision now).. my first meeting with Pete back in 88 wasnt all that stellar but he's a nice guy nonetheless ;)

Don Kiger selling his chips and being so full of sh!t his eyes were brown..

The Smith's from West Virginia that rolled into the nats with their Pro Stock hauler rig.. they needed something that big to contain all that ego I guess. Bob Armstrong and Clint Blackwell ended up buying both of their cars years later.

Brady Perry and his Stage 1 GN.. that car was insane for it's time.

So many nights doing teardowns in the Park Inn parking lot.

Good times.

BTW, Pat from TurboTune works for Hypertech now I believe. I heard that a couple of years back.

Im thankful I got started with these cars at a young age. The downside is so many of the older guys are no longer with us. I've lost some good friends over the years.

Interesting point Jay, as though I grew up with these guys but at a super young age with going to GS Nats with my pops, as i was just watching some old GS Nats from early 90s and so many fast street cars and makes you wonder whatever happened to a lot of these guys, like they fell of the face of the earth! Like everything else all good things must come to an end. Id love to see events in 2009 with 900 plus cars but those days it seems like are done as people lose interest and sell them or they just dont take them out of the garage (my father;) ), due to their value, and not wanting to beat up a 22 year old car! sad but true!

Tom Rix is still around. He has some Bad GS's. Museum quality cars and they run 9s and 10s. He sold his white T locally in 2002 I think. The new owner blew a head gasket soon after buying it and never fixed it from what I hear. The motor was done by Duttweiler in 1988 IIRC. Pretty mild build up too from what I remember. But flying for 1988 technology.

In fact, I will see Tom this weekend. Our local Buick club has an annual race in memory of Tom's daughter.

There was another bad nitrous GN from up around Tom's way too.. I think the guy's name was Denny Brown. I remember that car being really clean.

kirban 2 cents worth

slghtly off the NJ scene.....the twobig events we did in 1990-91 at the air base...featured several hundred turbo regals one year prototype syclone....had avc guys come and drop in 8 GNX dashes in customers cars....

buddy cox with the first tubbed GNX was on hand also.... how many of you were there then?

Base is now completely gone old folks home and new holiday inn sit on the property.....

no way to turn the clocks back....memories...

kirban

Dennis, I think you were at the airbase in '92 as well because I brought my new Syclone that I bought in early '92. There were three Sy's there that day. Davey Jones of the Monkey's was there also.

I know this is an old post, but I had Fred Vetter do some work on my car when he was running DynoTech out of his house in Jersey. 1994?

Shane has one of Fred's old cars now.

Sadly, Jim D'Alessandro passed away in 2016… (see this thread): https://turbobuick.com/threads/rip-jim-dalessandro.443233/
Eric Schertz (who bought Dynotech from Fred Vetter) also passed away in 2008 shortly after moving the business from Manville NJ to Long Island, NY which eventually led to the end of Dynotech.… To my knowledge, Fred is now living in Florida (in the Ft. Myers area I think) but I lost track of him. He lost his wife Donna back in 2012…
I sure would like to hear from Fred again…

Claude.
