Hi! I am switching my Downpipe setup to External. I am told the Turbonetics Evolution 38mm or the Tial F3 38mm will hold 25psi, but do any of you use either? Good or Bad? is one better than the other? or?

I use a Tial 38mm, it was a direct fit on my ATR downpipe. I have been satisfied with mine so far. No problems to speak of.

I would imagion either gate will support 25psi, it all depends on what spring you order it with.

Tial here. After using a Deltagate I like the Tial that much more. I like the fittings, they are adjustable and have a good appearance. And I just think it's just a better unit.

Also, if you order a Tial, make sure you specify that you want the valve that works with leaded gas. That one works with leaded and unleaded where the normal valve works only with unleaded.

He is correct..order the silver valve..its lead safe for race gas. I love my Tial 38 mm WG. Rock solid boost with alot of spring pressure choices.

+1 for the 38mm tial. I've run 13 to 30 psi with mine. Never had a problem.

Great! Tial it is, I will be ordering one today, Thanks to everyone who replied!

When I get this junk Turbonetics wastegate off my car I'll never own another. Tial from now on.

The turbonetics work great if you like LOTS of boost because it will stick shut if the car sits for a few days.

Which Tial

Is it the silver 38mm Tial? and what pound spring are you guy's using? The vendor is trying to sell me a 44mm Tial. Saying the 38mm won't work for the boost 'm trying to acheive (25lbs).

Jeez Dusty...what would your car run if it didnt have "junk" on it??

6's?? :D

my tial is silver but they come in all colors. i would have to go to their site and see what spring is needed for your boost level.

It's the one made for leaded fuel. I think it's a silver valve?
I've used smaller (~8 pound) springs up to dual springs (~22lbs). I use a MSD electric boost controller and have no issue reaching 30PSI. Contact member tailsport about his thoughts on wastegate size vs. boost.

Yes a 38mm Tial Wastegate WILL do 25 psi. I run 26 psi, it NEVER creeps and spools FAST. I run a controller but i dont have it turned at all to increase boost BUT MAYBE that is why i run 26 psi and not the claimed 23.6 psi off the website.

The springs you need is the Small Blue and Large Blue

Contact Tial directly to find a distributor near you contact Pam@tialsport.com and ask.

Yes get the silver 'race valve' for the wastegate because you never know, you may end up running race gas (if you dont do it now) or if you ever sell the car or wastegate, that person may also run race gas and it will end up sticking and giving them a big problem and probably coming back to you to ask you about it.

You can get the following colors Silver, Black, Red, Blue,Purple

Also, the 44mm does NOT go to 25 psi...LET ALONE 20 PSI! They DO NOT make springs for the 44mm that goes that high. The only way you'll be able to run more then 20 psi on that wastegate will be with a boost controller.

For more information, go to their website at Welcome to TiAL Sport.com

what kind of downpipe are you taking off?

You are going to want to run a manual boost controller with the gate anyways so you can dial in the boost to any # you want. Jurassic you are the 1st guy I have read say they run the Tial spring as the boost controller.

As far as 38mm vs 44mm, the guy is trying to sell you a more expensive gate. If you were trying to run 12-14psi around town, then yes go with the 44mm, but to say you need the 44mm to run 25psi is not reality at all.
