Turn Signal/Wiper Lever Connection

I went to replace my lever with a new one and found the wire but it is not plugged in under the dash. What does this plug into? Man they had to use a bunch of wires and connections on these cars.....

that wire is just for the cruise control, on the right side of the column there should be a squarish connector that the blade end of the lever wire plugs into

easy way to feed it back is before you pull the old tie a wire to the old connector end (theres a hole in it for that) , pull the old out the top and tie the new one and put some tape to prevent it getting snagged and pull it back down

Yea I was looking down there to see what it plugs into... My car has the GNX style dash in it from the PO and there are plugs all over the place it seems. I was thinking of cutting the wire at the old stalk end at the top and tape on the new one to it and pull it down the column. Anyone ever try it that way?
