Latest issue of HOT ROD has a story about a recent theft. Street rod built by Rad Rides was stolen while on tour of car shows. Car was worth $450,000 and was never even driven by the new owner yet. Theory is that it is being sold on the black market. Wonder if it will ever turn up.

Wow....I got the issue but havent read it yet. Might have to check it out. Thats sad to hear. I bet the new owner wont build another either as he will be scared it will happen again.

Yeah, Troy's (RAD Rides) shop is about 1/2 hr. from my house and we heard about it it over a couple of months ago. The car debuted at the 2006 Chgo. World of Wheels. It was bad a$$. The whole caravan got stolen up in Canada. Truck, trailer, car and all.

Wow, i didnt know about this. His shop is 4 blocks from my house. Come to think of it i have noticed only 1 trailer out there lately. That sucks. My wife just signed me up on his email mailing list just a few days ago. I guess the power tour was invited to his shop a couple of wednesdays ago but i was in seattle for work and missed it. :frown:

It was'nt the Power Tour, it was the Good Guys car club stopping off from Cali.on the way to Indy for their Nationals.Troy took the occasion to throw a big party and debut a couple of new cars. A '69 Camaro drag car (that's totally bananas - 1500 hp) and a older Cuda salt flat car that's on another level . Experimental Dodge 4cly. motor with a turbo that makes my GTQ70 look like a stocker.Sorry you missed it, was a blast.

A car with that kind of recognition will not be seen again. It's proabbly already in a million parts.

not avg 6. were you at the ebay mustang party a couple years ago. My wife used to work with his mother in law and invited us to it. It was pretty cool to watch the show rides before it was on cable. That was a pretty cool party and not to mention his shop :smile:
