What brand of upper rad hose fits the '84? I have a Dayco and it's not even close...What can you use other than hacking up two hoses and joining them? Greg

goodyear was very close (picked up at weavers) the gates hose dosent fit that good unless you have a f-body radiator, I never tryed a dayco

There was a recent thread on this. I just fitted the "best available fitting hose" yesterday and will post pics tonight as promised in the previous thread.

Now, if only my memory could serve me getting back to the thread .....

i got one from Carquest and it fit perfect when i cut about 4" off the end- and there was a white line right at the cutoff point. they didn't ask if it was a turbo car or not, so i assume all 3.8 G bodies use the same hose.
when i put the bigger Cutlass radiator in it, i just got a hose for an 87 Regal witha 3.8- again, they didn't ask if it was a GN or anything, and it fit perfect with no trimming at all.

I've got 2 in front of me...

I've got a Dayco 71089 (same as other brands that use that number) that starts off right but goes for a s**t where it should go straight! I also have a Goodyear 61331 which looks closer but has bends and sags where it shouldn't. If only these manufacturers got together...they may have something...? Anyhow, I am going to try one of these hoses. i know they don't look stock, but it should fit the bill.....
