Hi everyone.
Just joined up.
Anyway, just got a butchered 87 GN and like everyone else, I am trying to figure the damn car out.

I got a Vacuum Diagram from GNTTYPE.ORG. It says for an 87 GN.

http://www.gnttype.org/techarea/engine/vacdiags/vac_federal.jpg

Anyway, it doesn't show if there's a line that goes to the MAP Sensor looking thing on the firewall. My car has a line that goes from a T splitter to the MAP. So far I've been unable to figure it out. Any links to a better PIC or help would be greatly appreciated.

Thx

Yes it does. It's the one on the photo labeled "to boost gauge sensor" which is the map looking thing.

There's a chance the t splitter was added by the previous owner to run a line to an aftermarket boost gauge.

"Borrowing" from this thread.
I've got 2 vac. lines on the cruise control.
Is this right?
Maybe I've got the wrong one?
Thanks
Paul

On the cruise module on the driver inner fender? Yes. One line is for vacuum - routed to the vac block. The other (larger one) goes to the switch at the brake pedal to release vacuum and release the cruise - fail safe in case the electronics fail and don't turn it off for you.

Thanks guys, I added to my diagram so I don't forget in the future.

But one more question while I'm here. The Vacuum block is SUCKING the air? I just want to make sure the previous owner didn't get any of the check valves the wrong way. It's been pouring rain last 2-3 days so I really don't have anywhere to play with it to much or I'd just pull the lines off myself and see.
