Made from mild steel.......

Still need to braze it to the stock fill tube and paint it gray.

Thanks,

I got the idea by looking at the angled breather that Metco sells. I figured out how they made the end that engages the valve cover, then duplicated it in mild steel. I turned the part on my lathe then finished the tabs on a Bridgeport using a 3 jaw chuck on a rotary table

I TIG brazed the new part to the stock fill tube, then painted it up nice. I will post a picture of it installed on the car.

Great work Dave. I love everything about a rotary table except moving it from the bench to the mill.

Thanks for the positive comments.

I shot the tube with Duplicolor Wheel Silver.
Here is a picture of the part installed on the car.

Dave, what kinda paint did you use on the valve covers? That end you made looks great!

Valve covers and intake are powder coated. They should look great for a long time.
