guys using a 204-214 cam with 980 springs what number. what number would you shoot for. Stock heads
 
Max guide clearance spec is .0028 on intake and .0029 on exhaust. I would stay around .0020-.0022 on intake and .0022-.0025 on exhaust with cast iron guides. Of course the guides need to be cut down to accommodate more lift and not smash your seals. I like to run a quality metal clad Viton seal on both intake and exhaust.
 
I have been buying my valve stem seals from Qualcast. But you can get metalclad viton from summit or jegs

Would have been nice to find this info last summer when I had my heads off. Paid to have the heads gone through just to have it continue to smoke on startup
