Valve spring life

How long would you expect a set of 980's to last before getting tired? My top end performance seems to have dropped in under 10,000 miles since installation.

Brian, I have no hard data, and there is always the chance that you have a bad spring or two, but 980's are pretty well made springs from pretty good material, and spring life in general is one of losing some of it's stiffness pretty quickly and then any additional loss VERY slowly.

I'd look elsewhere for your loss...

Thanks for the offer, but it is starting to get colder, and it may be a while (spring) before I change the springs.
