Valve Springs???

Synthetic or Dino Oil

What kind of oil are you folks running witha flat tappet cam and comp 980's assuming there is plenty of zddp in the oil?...the more mileage the more value the answer has.

I run synthetic Amsoil combination: series 3000 10w30/ and their high zinc premium protection 10w40.
Kinda spendy but well worth it.

Anyone know how thick the stock springs cups are? I'm thinking about replacing all the spring cups with shims

Those thinking about removing factory "spring cups" might like to know that these are actually "Dampners", carry on.

Yeah I swapped to comp 980's and they come with a new damper spring. Still anyone even measure the thickness?

You don't need them Adam. The 980's will do just fine by themselves.
