I remember that thread and just reread it. It was a 11.45 then a 11.37@116mph (not 118) with a 1.50 sixty foot. His car was 3570 with him in it. On a 90 degree day it runs 11.7's, with ideal conditions on a cold day (50 degrees with no wind) is not the norm. Most tracks don't operate at those temps for insurance reasons. But my point is, that is not the norm. 112-113mph is the norm at 11.7s with warmer temps. I'm taking nothing away from Ed but even he was very transparent that this wasn't the norm. When I talk about anything online in threads like this, it's never about the exception because that is not attainable for 98% of the people viewing this. This happened in 2004. With better technology 17 years later, there is a reason why nobody has surpassed it.
