Well guys, as I wait around for my kti to arrive I was wondering, anyone have any installation tips or comments? Anything I shoudl watch out for or install suggestions? Doe sit matter where the nozzle is placed? I will be running the dual setup...

Thanks! Cory

Here is a tip:

When drilling for the dual nozzles, don't drill into the exact sides of the pipe. Realize that the up pipe sits at an angle in the car!

If you were to lay the uppipe flat on your workbench and drill strait down, your nozzles will be at an angle with you put the up pipe on your car.

Up Pipe...

Great idea, that wouldn't be alot fo fun if I messed up the holes cause my upipe is also ceramic coated. I can't decide where to put the alky res at. Does it have to be straight up and down? I'm not really worried about a stealth look, my engine bay looks pretty modified to begin with. I was thinking of maybe attaching it on the IC bracket right next to the IC.

If you don't put the bottle where SMC says, the braided line will not fit. Not a big deal if you know someone that can fix you up a braided line. A few people have put them in front of the battery behind the headlight. Its a tight fit, but it hides the bottle. You just need to make sure its fairly easy to put in the alky, and yes it needs to be strait up and down.

Ok.

Cool, Like I said I'm not to worried about people seeing it. *sigh* I am too impaitent! lol...all I did was think about it at work all day! This is better than a woman!!! ;)

TIPS

I just finished putting my dual alky kit in and it came out pretty nice. I did have an issue with one of the injectors leaking out the up pipe but I went to the hardware store and bought two brass washers and put them on the outside of the pipe. If you get them almost exact size it works great. The instructions are great just follow them and you shouldn’t have a problem. Do your measuring while the pipe is on the car like others said before because your pipe is at an angle. You should be able to measure the 2inches from the hose and then eyeball it and mark it with a permanent marker, I wasn’t off by too much at all. Then after I took it off I got a piece of string and accurately measured. One other thing get yourself some black wire for the interior wire that will show. Good luck and if you have any questions maybe I can help.

The wait....

Ahhh, I hope and pray...tomorrow will be the day. I raced this weekend and REALLY needed it, but maybe this weekend will be sweet victory. I even cut the factory wastagte rod for higher boost and bought a bleeder valve so I can install it...Bought two gallons of denatured....cleaned the engine bay...tuned....ehh...I hope tomorrow.

OHH YEAH!!!!!!

I got the kit in today and installed it!!!! I drilled the two 3/8'' holes for the nozzles and then I tapped them so they are a threaded holes. they just screwed right in, then I tightened them down and sealed them with teflon paste! After I got everythign hooked u I took her for a spin with just 15 PSI...WOW! It is amazing! I turned the pump speed up waay too much, and the first time it bogged, so i turned it down... I went about three miles from my house and used a quart of ALKY!!!!!! WOOHOO! But I got it pretty decently tuned...so it is using MUCH less...It is SOO COOL! I was shaking after a test drive...man. Thank you Steve!

Man oh man, I can't wait for another group purchase so I can afford alky. Summer's comin' and so are the 'Stangs. Any estimates yet on a g.p.?
