Any one see a problem with using a walbro gss 342? I got it new cheap and it comes back as it fits :o a civic, but its rated for 255lph High Pressure like the 340. the power clips are the same as so as the housing but the bottom where the screen goes is a little different, I figure I can just use a civics fuel sock on there. My darn new 340 locked up within a few hundred miles so I picked this one up. Anyone know how to unlock these pumps? I tried smacking it, switching voltage around and blowing air through it, but it still acts like an arc welder when I apply my 340 to a battery.

Did you use it? I just came across a deal on the same pump (GSS 342). I need it for my 2nd pump on my double pump hanger.

Thanks

Not to hijack but.....when do you need a double pumper (when is the 340 not enough)?

My fairly-new 340 went south recently, too, and I'm weighing my options.

Thanks,
Jim

The GSS342 is the same pump. The oulet is in a different spot and the inlet is smaller at 10MM so it takes a different sock Walbro make 4 different 34X pumps for different applications. We have socks, and y-blocks in stock. We also have hose pumps. We will have a double pumper plug and play harness in a few weeks as well.

I made a mistake, it's a 341

GSS340 = Ford installation
GSS341 / GSS342 = Most imports and some domestic
F2000169 = GM installation

GSS340M = GSS340 cut down in a lathe to fit GM now discontinued and replaced with F2000169 (new walbro part number system) which has the correct inlet molded in and does not require machining

All the SAME PUMP with different inlets and outlets to fit different applications. All flow the same.

Many pumps have been used in different applications lile the 341 is used in some late model GM cars. If it will fit it will work. Just make sure you have the correct sock on it because dirt will kill them faster than anything

Hope this helps,
Mike
