GM High-Tech Performance magazine is currently accepting resumes for an associate editor position that is open in the Rochelle Park, New Jersey office.
In order to be considered, applicants must have a strong English or journalism background, at least a passing familiarity with a camera, a willingness to learn, and a love of late-model GM performance vehicles. Heavy technical expertise is preferable, but not required.
The salary for this full-time, entry level position is in the mid-30s range, with a full benefits package. The job is on-site only, no telecommuting.
GMHTP offers a great "work" environment, good opportunities for promotion, and the chance to get your hands on some of GM’s newest, fastest vehicles.
We know you’re out there. If you’re serious about being in the high-performance GM world, here’s your chance to make a difference without working a day in your life. Email your resumes and writing samples to rick.jensen@primedia.com ASAP, or mail them to:

Damn, if only I lived in Jersey.
I work for the Allyn & Bacon Publishing (Pearson Education) now, not an editor, but work in Permissions and am familiar with it. Been with the company for 9 years. Also minored in photography. Would be tough to take a pay cut, but man, the fun factor would far outweigh the pay.
best of luck finding someone. I'm sure you won't have a problem

If you're interested in someone for specialty columns, etc, and they can do the work from the field, I'm interested.

LOL.
Who cares if they know anything more then how to twist the key to start the car, if they can explain the procedure.

So typical of the mags now a days, hire 1-2 experts, and then fill in with some English majors. And refuse to play them anything.

Like the one recent mag where they installed an ecm and wondered why it didn't work, dugh, they hadn't programmed it.
Makes you wonder if they are thinking at all. It's one thing to make a silly error, but IMO, quite another to not have a clue, and then advertise the fact.

$30K a year and having to live in Jerzee?. Sounds more like a court ordered sentence.
Just j/k on the last sentence....

I'll hang out and take pictures for ya:) Hell you dont even need to pay me, just get me lunch once in a while

Blown&Injected would be perfect for such a position, but I doubt he would ever move to New Jersey.
If moving expenses were paid, and he could live ina more rural part of the state he may go...
