I threw a good used coil/module on my car along with new spark plugs on the drivers side(I got lazy and said screw the passenger side....
) That has taken care of my spitting and sputtering problem but I can only get 11# of boost out of her still. It is running great now........just have to find more boost!
My question now is, if my wastegate rod is placed at a bad angle and not able to push the wastegate puck all the way open?? Right now the wastegate spring is pushing the rod more downward then straight out. So, does the rod have to come straight out from the housing or spring that pushes it out??
How far should I be able to pull the wastegate rod out of the housing? I can pull mine about 1/2 in. That is about how much my stock one allows too..when I pull on it.
Here is a link to how the wastegate assembly is sitting on my turbo now........not the best picture, but it gives you an idea.
