The part I am talking about is the red plug that mounts on the passenger side valve cover. I was wondering if this part is necessary? I don"t have the filter on the one port and have nothing connected to the other port. I currently hace a turbonetics racegate with a turbonetics manual boost controller. Can I just unplug it, or is the computer still taking inputs from the sensor?

It depends upon the chip used whether or not you will get a code.

If you throw a code 31 I believe after removing it you can put a 100 ohm resistor at 2-10 watts rating accross the two wires or inside a weatherpack mating socket to simulate the solenoid.

Using the search feature should get you more information as well regarding it.

You might be able to just unplug it. If you have an aftermarket chip..it should be programmed to ignor it.

I just plain took mine off no lights no codes on the scanmaster. Just unhook it and see what happens. Worst case the light comes on and you put it back.
