WATCH !! This Guy gntl2000

Bought a cam sensor cap off this guy and even told him in the pm if it was nice and NOT chipped or cracked I'd take it. Well it arrives & when I cleaned the dirty damn thing here's what I found. I notify him and he apologizes and states he was up in NJ at his parents place cleaning stuff out and really wasn't in the mode for inspecting things ?? Second pm he hints around that it might of got cracked cleaning it HAA. Any way he offers to refund $20 and I pm him back and tell him I want a complete refund of $26 and ask him why I should get stuck for $6 on his F'd up part. He pm's me back and says if I mail it back he'll give me a complete refund, so I pm him back and say sure I'll mail it back as long as you pay the postage.Never hear another word and today he refunds me $21 and change. Guys it's definitely NOT the few dollars here, it's the PRINCIPAL !!! of the whole damn thing!!
Sorry for the rant but it just plain pisses me OFF !!

I have sold a ton of parts on this forum dating back to 2012. My selling dates back to before there even was a feedback forum. No one has ever had a problem with any part received by me. If anyone cares to research it they can do a search under my handle in the Parts For Sale forum and you will see what I am talking about. I have always been an extremely square shooter. I have on many occasions lost money on shipping things. I price my things fairly. I’m not looking to get rich off of this. I’m just cleaning out my garage of some extra parts. I visually inspected this piece and I did not see any cracks. If anyone cares to read the original thread, I said that this part came off my car many years ago and was working fine when removed. I also said that I had NO idea as to the condition or no way to test it. That said, I priced it as such ($25 shipped to your door). In regards to the issue, I didn’t ask any questions. I honestly was surprised that it looked like that. It certainly did not look like that when I inspected it. We are talking about a used 30 yr old plastic part that had been subjected to years of engine heat. I just simply refunded the money sans shipping as this site and community has been very good to me. I didn’t want to invite this kind of feedback. I think that refund policy is better than one at your local auto wrecking yard on a used electric part. Lastly, you can also find a very positive feedback note regarding an item someone received a few weeks ago. I said my peace.

You clearly just have an ax to grind and are really ridiculous with how wrapped up you are around someone's level of inspection. Since you want to go down the "he said" path. Here's my original post on the item below. I think I stated it pretty unequivocally. Yes. I looked at it quickly. It looked fine. I didn't clean it all out and go over it. This was a sensor that was removed with many other sensors at least 15 years ago on a car that was running fine at that time. I don't remember the exact year. I'm sure you will find fault in that statement. Fred Vetter at Dynotech had done this years ago if you want an idea of time placement. I refunded your money sans shipping and PP fee. You are carrying on like a toddler for around $3. Think about that. You are carrying on and reporting people for the price of postage of around $3. I apologized and I refunded your money for the part that same day. I don't know how PP's refund process works. I guess it took a few days to process but I did process a refund that very same day that you contacted me. I'm not operating some sort of multi million dollar business. I'm done - whatever dude...

Nice all caps typing. Anyway. You spent a lot of time typing and regaling everyone with your opinion of my inspection. I'm glad this was all so very cathartic for you. I said I didn't really inspect it from the get go I priced it cheap. I refunded your money for the part and your having an aneurysm on your end about $3 and your "principals". Get over yourself.

Thank you. As I said before, I have sold on here for several years and never had a problem. I am an upstanding guy. I'm not on here to rip people off. 100% refund on the part is a pretty darn good policy. Try getting that kind of refund at an auto wrecking yard on a 30yr old electronic part.

Not too sure on how something can "appear" to be in good physical shape without actually looking at or inspecting it?? seems like it was pulled out of the bottom of a box of parts and shipped, not picking sides here, but how can you sell anything with that being said? Yes I understand the whole 8seconds it would have taken to wipe with a rag could hamper someone's day lol, but could possibly have avoided all the time bs typing back and forth...that said just take the extra time and sell something that YOU know is a good part to avoid all nonsense back and forth Bullsh*t

Used 84-5 Cam Sensor that I had as a spare. I have no idea if it works or the condition. I believe it was fine when removed fro m the car many years ago. It appears to be in good physical shape. At one point I replaced all the sensors on my car to freshen it up. I kept the old ones as backup. I no longer have the car so I don't need it anymore. $25 shipped to your door.

Then was clarified as a cap only and that's when I told him if it was in NICE shape & NOT!! CHIPPED or CRACKED I'd take it.
Now mister know it all will you please show me where it says JUNK and I like your twisting of words from plainly a crack to a scratch.
Anybody that wants this JUNK cap with only a SCRATCH on it can have it for $25 shipped.
