What is the water pump bolt torque??In my manual it says 115in/lbs.Is this only for the small bolts??The timing cover to block says 22ft/lbs and 4 of the water pump bolts go through the timing cover to the block:confused::confused:Thanks

I've never used a torque wrench on a water pump and I'm a GM tech. Snug all the bolts up a little at a time and then a little tighter but not too much. If things are sealed properly it doesn't take a lot of torque. Overtightening can damage the seals.

Thx for the info.I did some digging and the 4 long bolts are 22 ft/lbs and the small bolts are 115 in/lbs.My concern and the reason I torque is I don't want to distort the cover.:)
