It's been a little over a year since our standard passed away and almost a year since the older chow mix passed. Took a year for my wife to be ready for another one. She looks like a stuffed toy, she's half standard poodle and half golden retriever...she's Rio. Our neighbor lost his dog a few months ago too and went and got her brother so they play every day now. She's 9-10 weeks old in these pics. She'll get to be around 90-100lbs.

Rob

That thing is C U T E! Where did ya get it?

A friend of a co-worker of my wife's had them. Their coat is very soft and hopefully won't shed much since its 50% poodle. So far not a hair one comes out when you pull on their hair, but that may change when they get older. They had 2 or 3 that were black, I guess the poodle must have had black in their blood line somewhere as the mother poodle was light almond color. Her brother in the 2 pics above is lighter color and his hair is a little straighter.
I'll get some pics this week as she's already getting big, we've had her almost 3 weeks now.
Here's another cute pic

Thanks Rob. I haven't heard the name "goat island" in a LONG time. Cute pup BTW. From the pic of the burried concrete statue you must be a "Cassa" ex.

Familar with Goat Island are ya?? I've been going out there since I was 5. We are still routinely out there on Sat/Sun and even some on Friday nights along with 10-20 others sometimes.

Used to fish there on a regular basis for years. Good for cats and pearch. I've been all over Lake Worth and even in a few places I shouldn't be. LOL

normally i'm not a fan of the "cute" breeds of dogs- i'm German Shepherd guy- but if that thing grows up to be a 100 pound monster, then maybe it would be kind of neat..

I've been roaming here for 35 years, lived out here on the lake for the last 14.

Yeah, we were real close to getting a German Shepherd, but the wife wanted a more of an indoor less shedding breed. We had a pure breed before with a lot of health issues, so were interested in a mix this time. I had a German Shephard many years ago, was a great dog.
There was a Goldendoodle at a party we were at this last w/e, it was over 120lbs  We were shooting for one about 70-90 so I hope it doesn't quit get that big.

She's already big enough at 11 weeks to help me out working on the car :)

I can't let my dog see that or he would go nuts and try to hump the heck out of it, especially when it gets full grown.

He has a thing for 100lb blondes. Male or Female, it doesn't matter.

Thanks for the comments, she's really turning out to be a great pup, already sits on command, lays down, fetches and returns and even drops it next you, only 2 or 3 accidents in the house the first 2 weeks, none after that, sleeps good at night now. She's learned to jump off the boat deck and swim very well too.
Here's another pic of her and her brother Jake siting in their cool off pool...well Rio is trying to nap it appears :)

Here's a pic of the little....or big pup as of yesterday...was getting a new window installed and she didn't know what to think of it.
She about 65lbs now and still growing at 8 months

Awesome. Too bad the world wasn't full of more dogs and less people.
