My dumb azz popped the question. So she has been shopping for a ring.Well I clicked on one of the banners on this site(love and pride) and they have some cool looking rings. Then I noticed the pics of guys kissing guys:eek: WTF is this $hit. I guess to each his own.Sorry if anyone got offended.

Congrats, and thanks for the heads up on the Love and Pride banner....

Congrats to you. Go to you tube, do a video search on "the kid from brooklyn", then click on the "stay single" video. Would post the link for you but I can't remember how plus it's sort of naughty......

We're all into man-love. Didn't you get the memo when you joined?

I missed that one. I think the "Love and Pride" should have been a giveaway, though.

On a more serious note, I got my wife a ring for our 15th wedding anniversary last month. I had been talking to one of her friends and she suggested eBay. We're talking many thousands of $$ here so I was very reluctant to trust someone on eBay. I researched the buyers and ratings and did the deed. Bought from a guy in the diamond district in LA. I made sure he had a physical address and called his store. I had the ring appraised locally by an independent jeweler the ring appraised for twice what I paid for it. Naturally it's not an indication of what I could sell it for but I definitely feel like I got a decent deal on it.

Some of my friends warned me a few years ago before I got married. I thought they were joking. They weren't joking!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :(

I am beginning to think that most of the posters on this site have no interest in owning a TB, they just want the physical part of the relationship. Watch out!!!!!

My wife's is worth about 9K, More than likely it's 10K with gold the way it is now. Congrats!

Take a trip into the city (Chicago) and find one. I'm sure there are dozens of Diamond rings jewelry stores available there like in any big city.

I would stay away from your local chain stores at the malls. Do business with a place that does a lot of volume. If they move a lot of rings they will give you the better deal. Better to deal with the owner of a jewelry store vs. someone making $8.00 an hr. Employees can only drop the price a certain percentage usually. When owners see CA$H they wheel and deal.

Heck yea, I have have know my jeweler since before I could remember anything. We've known their family for 30 or so years now. It's it nice thing to have when you need advice or deals on jewelery.

Law and Order

Jack McCoy said it best, of course gays should have the right to marry......................they should have the right to be as miserable as the rest of us.
