i heard alot were better than others weichone should i go with trans go?

and is mobil one synthetic atf good for these trans

and is an external trans coler better than the radiater cooler

I have a ck shift kit and servo in my current car and love it. Nice firm part throttle shifts and very firm wot shifts. I had an art carr in my old car which was good as well but shifted very hard at part throttle and firm at wot. Both cars ran stock coolers and amsoil synthetic fluid.

im having mixed ideas from teh input any one have a solid answer for me is a shift kit bad for the transmission?

the advantage is stronger and firmer shifts weich causes less wear when it slips to the next gear is this correct?

and as far as the cooler i should just T in some splitters and run radiator and external?

I run mine from the trans line to the external cooler to the radiator cooler. My thought on it is the fluid needs to be hot but not overheated. If it's hot and cooled down by the external then cooled to the engine temp by the internal it should be OK. Some people go the other way or eliminate the intermal one.

A shift kit is not going to "fix" a transmission with issues, nor is "bad" for the transmission. Some kits can make the trans shift very hard and that can lead to damage. Talk to some of the vendors and see what they have to say and explain your goals. Like all parts in the performance chain as the HP goes up the weakest links will be found. If it happens to be the trans then it will break.

MY transmission is fine i just didnt want to cause problems by installing one

its gonna be a street car any reccomendations on a nice kit thats not neck snapping but firm

and should i keep the stock shifter or should i put a ratchet shifter or like slapstick and if i do do they still have just a drive gear automatiic

weich one is a littler smoother you think i just want tight clean firm shifts nothing more now its sloppy when changing gears but again its not slipping i just dont like the time in between
