Weird Noise

So here is my issue. My car gets some knock when I am at normal throttle just crusing no boost at all. It happens on the shift between the 1-2 and 2-3. When I get on it hard it has none at all. I have done the knock checklist so it is not real knock. When the trans shifts I hear this buzz type sound and it sets off the knock 3 out of 4 times. The car tends to do it just a little more when its cold but still does it hot. I have a none lock up converter and I have manualy locked it up for about 135 to 150 passes. When I lock it up after the 1-2 shift to see if it goes away on the 2-3 it does. So could it be the converter? Any input would be great. Thanks
