Anyone running a welded raised runner stock intake?
Curious to know how much of an improvment it made and maybe a few pictures.

Haven't tried it, but the mating angle on the roof of the stock intake to head runners is way off. (I guess that's why you're asking huh?). I'm sure it would help, but how much, I dunno......

he did this to his intake and was able to send me some pics. He welded additional material on the roof, then fully ported them to get the port alignment much better. His car runs very very strong with ported stock iron heads and stock ECM. He did all the porting himself.

I am looking to get the most out of my combination,already have one welded up but wanted to see how far guys have raised them for comparison sake and what kind of improvments did they see.
 
Red Armstrong and others have epoxied the floor of the intake runners for improved flow. Welding would work too. If I could weld, I'd do it.
