I'm impressed w/ the "looks". It appears new(it's a reman.), nice black motor, master cyl nice and silver, brackets look like new. I got the unit for $225 after tax and no core return. I removed the switch and acc. ball( maybe a 5 min. job to remove and replace). Now all is good!!! Not bad considering Gm wanted $235 for the switch. Just say no to vaccuum:D . For now,,,,,

I bought one last week and put it in yesterday along with the brass proportioning valve and it works pretty well. I think the car needs a little more bleeding but it runs well, installed in about two and a half hours. Make sure you have a skinny friend with long arms and strong hands to reach up under the dash and remove the pin from the brake pedal arm. Remember to adjust your brake light switch as well.

I bought one from Autozone about a year ago. Haven't had any problems with it yet. Seems to be a solid piece.

I considered going vacuum, had access to all of the necessary parts,(buddy just totaled his regal). But decided staying with the pm was the right thing to do. I'm somewhat of a tr purist.

Hey Bob,
where did you pick the Brass Prop valve ?

Got mine from the local GM dealer - I recommend Dal or GM parts direct, unless you got mucho $$$$

GMpartdirect for the brass valve. It was about $45 including their shipping fee if memory serves.

Did mine, but where is the brake light swith? I just popped everything back on the way it was, but didnt know there was a break switch to adjust.

thanks

jojo

jojo,

The brake light switch is a little switch with a button on it up near the top of the brake pedal arm. I believe it is white in color if memory serves me correct. If this switch is out of adjustment the brake lights are liable to stay on all the time. You just need to slide the switch assembly firmly against the brake pedal so that the button is depressed.
