Went to Disney in Florida last month... but want advice now..

We have been to Disney twice and absolutely love it but 15 family members usually go and thats to much for family time.

This summer we want to go somewhere we can boat, have a cabin, just some good old RR... Like the Ozarks.

Anybody have any places to let me check out?

We are early 40s with kids being 11 and 14.......

We rented a house on the water with a dock for our boat. Worked out perfect. That house isn't for rent anymore, sold. But I'm sure there are alot for rent.

Being in the same demographic (two kids and in our 40's) we went to Wisconsin Dells last summer with the kids and they had a blast. We stayed at the "Wilderness" resort. There's a ton of stuff for the kids to do and Mom and Dad get to have some R&R while the kids do their thing at the resort. A week there would be too long...four full days is about right.

I hear lots of folks rent house boats down here in KY or cabins in TN--- Sevierville I think or Gatlinburg...(Could time it just right for the Rod Run)

I guess i should keep my GF then!!! B/c shes all about deer camp!!Bought her , her first compound bow this year for her birthday!! Shes pretty damn good!!

Now in florida theres Hawk's Cay resort!! Place is beautiful!! kayaking, boating, fishing, jetskiing,pools, beach, para-sailing.. all in one place!! top notch as well!!

Told you this last year Ty. Boating, fishing, tubing, and the only natural trout stream in Texas.:biggrin: It's close enough to the city and you can rent cabins or take a trailer down. Weather's a little cold right now but it will be much nicer next week.

Looks like an awesome time, my wife just told me we got a tax bill last night from 2009 for $11,789.

When I get home Friday night I am going to have to check it out
