what are the symptoms of ccci failure?

ive got some real goofiness going on and wondered if my ccci is to blame? so what happens when they go? also what happens when knock module dies.?

When my ignition module and coil were on the fritz, the car was very hard to start and performance was down by 10th's. Bad knock sensor would allow major knock without any timing retard, NOT GOOD.
