SignUp Now!We both have programmable fuel computers on our skis,what can we say ..He DA...ManOh dont tell me he got a XFI on that thing to!
:biggrin::biggrin:
Uh oh! Now everyone knows why I can't be reached on Sunday's
The ski went 83.5mph with a billet wheel 68mm supercharger. I switched to a Precision Billet BUICK turbo (yes, 3 bolt flange, internal wastegate w/actuator, RJC boost controller, etc..) and have now ran 90.8 mph at 18psi of boost on pump gas. It can reach those speeds way before the 1/8th mile. This is almost 400hp @ over 9000rpm's.
It will go faster with more boost and racegas or alky injection. I would need to repitch the prop and put an aluminum intake on. The factory plastic intake splits around 20psi. Right now, it is the fastest "X" ski in the world by 5mph.
We are not making that much power on the sleds yet but we have pretty small turbos for now. About 300 with the stock turbo and around 370 with the GT2860RS, my stock turbo sled runs 5.60's at around 118 in the 1/8 mile, mid 1.20's on the 60 ft on ice. We are doing one with a GT35 for a customer right now. Hoping to get about 500. That ski of yours hauls ass, congrats. That would scare me too much on the water. Freeze that lake up and I can have some fun

"Mine has ONLY gone 75 supercharged.
Otto's Performance may need to invest a little money in a shop project."
A twin engine setup, alky and a couple turbos??
Twin, 100' roosters would get thier attention!![]()
I know the jetski technology and the sled technology are very similar. How big of engines do you guys have? Mine is a 1500cc Rotax. Stock it was 255hp with a liquid intercooled supercharger that ran 0-50 in 2.9 seconds. I'm not sure how quick it is now.
I may have a little more hp, but you guys are going quicker and faster with your hp. We are pretty limited since we are direct drive. I would assume you guys have a clutch setup simiar to my son's dragster?
Our engine is a Suziki 1100CC 2 cylinder 4 stroke, 4 valves per cyl. We don't have near the drag you guys have with water and hull. We are using the same type of clutches that the Jr drag guys use most that tech came from snowmobiles, currently we are using STM clutches and special belts. Next step is too change the cams, up the rev limit, and use a GT35r to make about 500 hp, at that point we should have sub 5 1/8 miles![]()

great now several of us are going to have to find a new tuner, because that fool is going to end up killing himself on that damn death trap. I sure hope you have been taking notes on all the little secrets otto.
