Been reading about the 6665, 6562, 6565 etc..and it's got me curious about newer tech..any thoughts?

If I was going to redo a 45a I'd make it a...45a!! Nothing wrong with the turbo you have it's a proven bad mother, money would be better spent elsewhere I suspect. If you want to step up to a Billet 70 (or whatever the newest one is called) I'd sell the 45a and buy outright. JMO

Unless it's in need of a rebuild and has hit the wheels I guess.

+1

I agree with them! Unless Chopper at Limit Engineering can get you a billet compressor wheel. I can't see that having a downside. Larger wheels or a more agressive turbine wheel will slow down spool. Then you will want the spool back the way it was. Opening your can of worms. Who's doing the rebuild?

Ok! Well it doesn't even need a rebuild (no smoke anyway) and it does spool pretty well..so I guess I will do nothing

It was just a thought as I've been reading about all these new turbo's lately..
