have not done tranny or convertor yet

Without a converter it will be a pig. A good one is required. Get a billet shafted forward drum fr the trans minimum. You will need to keep the rpm down under 5600. Id get a matching intake manifold and do some suspension work. A set of M/T DR's on lightweight rims will help a lot. The converter is the biggest problem though. Check out PTC.

yeah i have not done the tranny and converter yet, plan on going with one from brian hofer

That ought to be a good choice.
But like the man said get at least a few billet internals.
With your combo you will need it.
It will save you in the long run or short.....:biggrin:
