What in God's name happened to my Fuel pump and Harness??

YES I know your dual setup destroys the older tech stuff. I have seen yours and it looks incredible. I just do not have the funds for it right now. I would need the dp setup, an fittings added to it and harness. Coin I do not have at the moment. Maybe I should turn it into a single pump setup in the time being so i can just drive the car.

Priceless.
Your rusted sender and bulkhead wiring are scrap.
Does not look like Teflon wire was used in the tank?

Each pump should be on its own dedicated fused circuit.
The factory over-molded bulkhead wiring is inadequate for dual HP pumps.

This is a Reds double pumper. The problem is these pumps and hanger were built around 1997 or 98 time frame. That was the last time this style was used. The current pumps he uses will not fit this double pump hanger/set up. I would almost bet your gonna have to come up with an older pump or get a complete new double pumper. Call Red but I'm almost 100% sure this is what your gonna run into.

I was worried about that!

damn, and I was on your site for 30 min lastnite looking for those! I found the grey color bulkheads but not the yellow guy! thanks. I am going to order them now. One more question, Where can I get a pump to fit this setup??

I ordered the parts. Thanks Jack. Hopefully Red has a pump laying around for me.
Those look like old Sy/Ty pumps. Perhaps you may consider two GSS294M pumps with a SS mounting bracket:

Please keep in mind that your sender is very rusty which is a good indication of your tank condition as well. We do not recommend using this sender given its condition but...

We are offering these now which would outflow your current DP system:

I already ordered some parts from you and they already shipped I believe :( The G7 setup looks awesome and very impressive. It is within my budget as well.

Don't open the items then. We can always have you return them and use the credit for something else.

Thanks for your help. I going to go for your single pump assembly. i dont of anyone using it but it is a Walbro and it is from you so I trust it. I use my old fac feed line as a return line now. Is this sufficient enough for return or do I need to install a -6 teflon hose?? I am ordering the pump assembly today.

What are you using for a feed line?
Which product part number are you looking to buy?

Well guys, the DP was purchased in 1998. Not to shabby, 14 years of service. Rebuilding the old one with new Walbro's. The old pumps were Turbo TA pumps with shims.

maybe over that 7 years the connectors oxidized at one or both ends jacking up the resistance eventually to the point where it was hot enough to melt. Sort of like crappy spark plug wires and fouled plugs do to the points on cap and rotor setups
