I'm experienceing a no-start problem on my car, and while reading through the wonderful flow-chart from gnttype.org, It refers to using an "injector test light" several times. I have a generic electrical test light (looks like an awl with a lil bulb in the handle and a cord coming out the back) I got from the auto parts store years back... will this work as an injector test light, or is this a special tool id have to buy or make? Thanks for any help guys.

Noid lights plug directly into the injector wiring (i.e., disconnect the wiring from the injector and insert the noid light into the connector). It will blink as the injector is pulsed. Although this is +12v (with the ground being pulsed) I don't know if you can use a regular test light or not; I sort of think you want an impedence that closely matches the injector, but maybe someone else can chime in?
Won't really work that well since it is a conventional bulb. Would probably just appear to briefly dimly lit, if anything. An noid light is an LED which is faster acting, and plugs into the connector. You can get them (bosch type) at most parts stores

Yeah, I just got a similar set at my local discount/advanced auto parts store. Also got an inline spark tester, so i can tell if im getting good spark (score!). Hopefully now diagnosing my no-start condition should get a bit easier 
Once question I do have is this: the set i bought came with 6 different lights for different types of fuel injectors... which type is ours? im assuming the ford and geo ones aren't it. But there are 3 different GM ones (GM PFI, GM TBI and GM SCPI) as well as a Bosch PFI. I'm guessing GM TBI is for throttle-body injection, which obviously isnt for the GN, but the PFI and SCPI are acronyms i cant figure out, plus the bosch one, which someone mentioned in an earlier post as the type to get. Any help on which one would be appreciated. Thanks!
