SignUp Now!What the hell is it about them cars? I've rode in them before, don't think they're THAT great.
Yes, any Mustang pre 86 came with the 7.5 rear. For a stock motor car its ok because those cars really didnt make much power. But if you were going to build one up you have to go and throw that 7.5 in the scrap pile and get yourself an 8.8

Ditto. It comes along with each car hobbyist. It's always the bad apples to put a negative stereotype on a group of car owners. A person has one negative experience with a Brand-X guy, then it seems all Brand-X guys are officially dumbasses.dont think its so much the cars as to the people who own them.

That says it all right there.
I think the Buick/Mustang thing should be used during some friendly competition at the strip, but other than that it seems pretty childish. Sure, a Mustang is a popular car for any 18 year old kid who wants to look like a bada$$, but if that same kid decided to buy a Honda instead then we'd just make fun of him for not buying Domestic.
Like someone else already hinted at in this thread, maybe WE'RE the ones who are scared since we're always making the negative comments about the Stangs. Much like the schoolyard bully who only picks on other kids because he has a bigger problem with himself... seems like some of the TR guys like to pick on Mustangs daily to feed their turbo-ego.
I'm not a fan of Ford products and I earn the right to say that as I have one as a daily driver, but a Mustang in the hands of a good owner is nothing to sneeze at.
I personally wouldn't have any big-bad-Buick attitude if I pulled up next to this thing....
Hey, as a previous stang owner I can say with 100% certainty that there are a lot of Mustang owners who are jerks. I agree it's not the car, it's the owners. The Mustang attracts a younger crowd and I think this has something to do with it. I belonged to svtperformance.com and a local website which I will not give out because of my bad experience on it. I can say as a comparison turbobuick.com and turbo buick owners compared to Mustang owners are hands down classier and just overall a better group of people. I personally would not have a profile named 93fiveoh and be posting in a turbobuick website, doesn't make sense to me?????
I'm glad you edited that. You worded it better. It's a shame you have had bad experiences with other Mustang owners, but like I said before, it's like that with just about any other car enthusiast group. There will definitely be some dickfaces among them. Some are just narrow-minded regarding the car they own (or don't even own, in some cases) and can't respect any other, except the make/model they own.Hey, as a previous stang owner I can say with 100% certainty that there are a lot of Mustang owners who are jerks.
.....But it's what I own and I'm not ashamed of it, no matter if it's a non-Mustang board I'm on. I'm here to learn and until that car leaves me, if ever, it will be my user name as it's who I've been known as for the past five years. When I get a TR, I might change it.excobraguy said:I personally would not have a profile named 93fiveoh and be posting in a turbobuick website, doesn't make sense to me?????![]()
