I'd like to run the Kirban black 8" fixed mast antenna, and I want to get rid of my non working power antenna. What is the procedure for this? And what parts do I need? I have searched and haven't truly found a clear cut procedure. Keep in mind, I already have my complete fender off and on the floor in my basement. Thanks in advance!

You need a new base piece for the fixed mast antenna that has it's own cable attached to it.

Mount the base in the fender and hook up the wire.

New antenna screws into the new base.

I went with G body parts he had used fixed mast bases with the blackout trim I needed and sold the new replacement GM fixed mast antennas too.

Bolt holes may be different for the fixed mast base but everything should be in the fender area to do it.

Been a while since I did mine....

I locktighted my antenna mast to the base since I don't go through car washes, nor do I want anyone to be able to remove it easily.
