2003 Gsxr600

Here is my other fast ride. Its a 2003 Gsxr600, It just hit 189 on pump gas and low boost a few days ago shooting for 200 with race gas.:biggrin: for some reason i cant post pics and i cant get into photobucket over here in the desert but here are the links

I've had it to 167 mph on radar and GPS and there are probably a few more in it, which is good for a $4200 car I bought off a used car lot and "fixed up".

It so fast, Last race I broke the 9" Detroit locker when I accidentally shifted to 4th instead of 6th at 165 mph. Something had to give and it was the locker.

It has the 502/502 GMPP crate motor with a Richmond 6 speed and a 9" Ford rear. We had 2.50:1 rear gears in it, but those came out last month and we are going with 2.75:1 gears.

The motor is stock, but I'd like to put a bigger hydraulic roller cam in it and be able to rev it to 6300-6500 RPM.

Right now, it's actually as fast or faster to 160 in the mile drags than every stock non-Z06 vette or Viper, but you never can be too fast.

Not really fast, but its turbo so it has potential in the rice grinder class.

Not mine, but my dads. He has a decently built 289 from is 64 mustang bored out to 293 or something like that. Last time he put any work into it was in the late 70s so any performance parts are from then or earlier. From the way he talks it was a pretty good motor in his 64, but may be to small for a 69. Hell i just wished it moved.
