need some help picking a tial wastegate.cant find a website for them but seen some pretty cheap on ebay.right now i have a ta62,i know dont need it for what i got now,but when i blow this motor up i will go bigger and better so i would like to buy one now that i could use later also.so which one is comparable to the racegate, rated hp wise or maybe a little less??

also what are peoples thoughts on mounting locations?crossover, header,or is the downpipe best?i dont like the thought of it being mounted on the crossover just in case i run over a cat or off the road or something.think it would have better chances of getting damaged easier down there.

thanks

As I mentioned in a previous post, I run the Tial 44mm W.G. with an 88mm turbo with excellent results. So it should be more than adequate for your application now & in the future.

I like the looks, quality, s/s & alum construction. It comes complete with the inlet & outlet flgs. The catch is the flg's & clamps provided are a V-band set-up. So a little fab & welding is required. When finished, R&R is a snap!

The best place for installing & operation of a external W.G., is just below the turbine housing entry flange.

Just my .02
