What stall converter is needed to get a full body TR into the mid to low 10's using a TE45a turbo?

I ran a3500 stall but I think the a 3800 would have been better.

I ran a PTC 9.5" nonlock 3500 in my GN.....went low 11's on 20-21# of boost and pig rich. I think it could have been a little looser....say 3600-3700...to really make the car come alive, but it worked for what I was doing.

45

I have a 3400 single LU vig. and went 7.30(1/8)on a full weight stocker with only a cam swap and alky. Recorded 31.8 lbs of boost through the traps with 5 degrees of KR. All on pump gas and 10" MT's. Car still drives like it had the D5 in it. :)

Bilt2run, what kind of "pump gas" are you running to keep the motor together at 31 lbs of boost?

9" 3500 stall is what I have. Its nice but, I want to try a 3800. I have a th-400 so that might change things.

Should one go with a Non L/U or L/u coverter wth this Turbo??

Thinking about switching to the te45A, but have 9" 3400 stall non-l/u converter in it now and wondering what is better??

I am running a custom 9' "tight" 3800 w/ a 45a and it works well......
