I have:
60lbs injectors
RJC Front mount
Alky control single nozzle
ATR 2.5 dual pipes
Champion ported iron heads
Champion ported stock intake
3.5 MAF with translator
Red Armstong dual pump (only using one now with alky)
PTE upper doghouse
Large TB
roller rockers
roller cam
3200 LU Vigi conveter
Built trans with brake

I have gone 11.6 with a TA49 maxing boost at 31PSI. I would like to be 11.0 or just under. The turbo I have now is maxed. I know I want a dual ball bearing turbo and go faster than what I have now. What turbo do you think?
 
I am thinking about adding TA headers at the same time as a new turbo, not sure if anything else needs to be changed other than the chip.

damn why so much boost i ran 11.60 on 23/24 psi on stock heads. you should be running 11.60 on 18/19 psi with those heads

I am thinking the 49 is maxed out so that much boost is doing nothing for me but building heat over 24PSI, also my 60 are horrible 1.8's.

I agree with this. Car should be in the 10's with that boost on those parts. With his car id go with a GTQ/HPQ or S-trim, 9.5" PTC and, look at an aftermarket ecu. Then all he would have to do is tune it up to whatever level he wanted. At 30psi on a GTQ it would go 10.0 or faster if the tune was decent
 
At 121 you don't need more turbo to go 11.0's, you need to work on your 60'...A bigger turbo won't help you with that.

He should be well into the 10's even with the 44 at 31psi with his parts.

Boost is not a measure of power, MPH is...Whether he has to run 31 psi to run 121 or 15 to run 121 makes no difference, at 121 he should be much quicker than he is and that's what he needs to work on.

Get your 60' down and you will at least be in the low 11's solidly, then you will have a better foundation to work with.

If you can't get a 49 to 60' with ported heads and a 3200 stall a bigger turbo will just make the 60' even worse.
 
Alright then, you guys just talked me out of a turbo. Guess I need to study up on my launches and suspension upgrades.
 
Next question, are your 60's slow because you spin or are you launching it as hard as you can and still not hitting the tires hard.

Other suspension upgrades ATR rear bar, air bags, UMI upper and lower tubular non adjustable arms and Bilstein shocks.
 
pratt,what exhaust housing and what kind of timing due you run on the 49?estimated weight of the car?
 
I would definitely try a 28" tire at that speed/power level.

hey last year at bowling green when we took your car for a drive to see what that noise was you never got back to me. was it a head gasket like i said on the passengerside
 
It just quit making that sound. Did not do anything else too it. Kinda weird. I have tried pushing it and it runs hard but does not make the noise anymore.
 
pratt,the .63 could mean a garret.63 or presicion .63,if i had to guess its probably the pte .63 based on your 121mph.i think you should be able to et better with maybe raising the mph but not much more in the mph area.the taller tires i think will help you the 26 inch tires were always to easy to shock on my 49car.how fast do you want to go?your sig has alot of good parts and can easily support a bigger wheel,i agree you 60ft can improve by more traction and suspention parts,but with those kind of parts a bigger turbo would make alot more power easily surpassing 121mph.
